About Mark Gideon
Mark Gideon has been marrying the needs
of buyers and sellers for 25 years. Prior to his career in
real estate, he was president
of a San Francisco executive search firm for 16 years. Mark
was an executive for Fortune 500 firms in sales and sales management
and has a degree in marketing. He sharpened his negotiating
skills through his personal experience in real estate as a
buyer, seller, investment property owner and landowner.
As
a Realtor with Boice countryside realtors, the number one real
estate firm
in Truckee, his goal is to orchestrate an
efficient and effective marketing process for sellers and buyers.
He is a member CATT, the Contractor’s Association of
Truckee Tahoe. Additionally, Mark is a certified Seniors
Real Estate Specialist, the only one in the greater Truckee area.
This certification gives him special skills to deal with the
needs of seniors, from tax issues to retirement living.
Heritage Steeped in the Mountains
As his Swiss American heritage
might predict, he loves the mountains. His family has enjoyed
winters and summers in the
Sierras since the early 70’s and migrated to Truckee
in 1997. He is thrilled to be living his dream and residing
in Truckee. As a student of the Emigrant Trail and the early
railroad days, Mark and his family enjoy hiking and exploring
the mountains in pursuit of the pioneers’ original roads.
He enjoys skiing, hiking, golf, fishing and other outdoor activities
the mountains have to offer.
Roots in Search
Not only does Mark enjoy helping people search
for their dream homes and help sellers search for buyers, he
also helps the
community when called upon to search for missing people.
“I am passionate about my participation as a member
of a Search and Rescue team. I am an active dog handler with
my chocolate Labrador retriever, Schoggi, and a member of the
California Rescue Dog Association.” CARDA is a statewide
volunteer organization that aids local county sheriffs departments
deployed when people are lost or missing.
